Focus On Elephants and Digital Photo Workshop
2 - 14 November 2008

Zambia, Southern Africa's best kept secret, features a great diversity of habitat, scenery and wildlife. We can expect a wildlife experience that is difficult to duplicate elsewhere in the world. We will spend our entire safari in the South Luangwa Valley National Park, the park known as "The Kingdom of the Elephants." With its large elephant, hippo, lion and leopard population, we will experience the magic and sheer visual splendor of the heart of Africa. Of all the animals on the African continent, the leopard can be one of the most elusive and magnificent creatures to capture on film. Their solitary ways, unpredictable habits and superb camouflage, make it a challenge to spot this beautiful cat. The Focus on Elephants safari also takes you to the "hot spot" of leopard sightings. This area is also a good part of Africa to see the endangered Wild Dog. Accommodation will be a deluxe lodge and with four nights in a bush camp.

As a bonus to this Focus on Africa safari, we have added a Digital Photography Workshop. This will not reduce your time shooting! What better place to improve your skills as a photographer than in the heart of Africa!

Given that the best time for photography is in the early morning and late afternoon, we will have six two hour workshops on digital photography during those flat light hours mid-day. We will also have time for you to work on a presentation that you will give at the end of the safari! You will leave this safari with a professional presentation that you can use to promote the mission of Focus on Planet Earth when you return home.

Maximum Participants: 16 with 4 photographers per Land Rover with photographer escort rotating between vehicles.

Photographer and Safari Leaders: Freya Reder, David Anderson and an ILCP Photographer
